General Information
The Ural state University of physical culture was established in 1970. Then it was branch of Omsk state institute of physical culture, but in five years it gets an independent and has been transformed to institute, and in 1995 - In academy.
In 2005 the State certifying commission of high school decided to change the academy status to University. Throughout last years UralSUPC occupies in the lead position among profile higher educational institutions of Russia and enters into a three of the best sports University of our country.
UralSUPC - the unique sports University in Ural Mountains lets out about 1000 experts, bachelors and masters by 41 kinds of sports and directions of medical-improving work. Physical rehabilitation and nonconventional methods of improvement, valueology, management, tourism, economy at the physical training and sports enterprises, sports dances on a parquet, East physical training, billiards, sports jurisprudence, New directions and specialisations in preparation of students.
Our University has the most powerful scientific and technical base which allows to march in step, and frequently advance modern trends of the sports industry and medicine. Two hostels, personal Light athletic' Stadium, 4 educational buildings make the comfortable conditions for the educations.
Experts of the University own unique techniques of modelling of sports activity, use modern computer technologies and develop methods of an estimation of influence of physical activity on an organism of sportsmen and the persons who professionally are not going in sports.
UralSUPC has a lot of branch in different cities in Russia (Ufa, Ekaterinburg, Sterlitamak and etc.). The department of international relations concludes the agreement with Turkey, Nigeria, Kazakstan. On the base of UralSUPC are studding 15 foreigner students with other 12 000 students.
Under the version of Wall Street Journal, The UralSUPC occupies the 10 place among the colleges and Universities around the world which have produced the most Winter Olympians this year in Vancouver.
